Built for phones first
Most of your visitors arrive on a phone with one hand busy. Tap targets, call buttons and menus are sized for that, then scaled up for desktop.
4 templates · every page browsable · live in days, not months
Start with the event site: dates, programme, exhibitor list, venue and travel. Then keep scrolling — the same system builds the site an exhibitor or a visiting trade business needs.
Nothing here is a screenshot. Put your own name on a template, click through every page the way a visitor would, and open the admin panel you would run it from.
The screen updates as you type. Use the strip above the phone to move between pages, or open the admin panel.
Send it to a colleague — they land on the same screen
Template A is the event site — one edition of a trade fair, conference or congress. It carries dates, a three-day programme, a searchable exhibitor list and a venue page that answers the travel questions before they reach your inbox. It does not sell tickets or take registrations: the register button points at whatever you already use, because a brochure site and a ticketing platform are two different jobs and we would rather say so than find out later.
B, C and D are for the businesses that walk the halls. An exhibitor with no site, a supplier who wants one before the next edition, a visiting trade business that has been meaning to sort it out for two years. Same system, same admin panel, different shape.
Every one of them is an example, not a fixed menu. They exist so you can judge the quality and try the panel before committing to anything. If what you need looks different — more pages, fewer, something none of these do — describe it and we will quote that instead. Each is lettered: quote the letter when you get in touch and there is no confusion about which you meant.
The directory this page sits on — lodgevent.com — is ours, built from nothing: the public site, the server that renders it, the database behind it and the admin panel that runs it. Over a thousand events, every one with its own page and its own search-engine data.
We have not built an event site for a client yet, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What we can show you is a working system we built and run ourselves, at a scale you can go and check page by page. Judge the templates above on their own merit and this on its.
Same foundation regardless of which template you pick.
Most of your visitors arrive on a phone with one hand busy. Tap targets, call buttons and menus are sized for that, then scaled up for desktop.
Page titles, descriptions, structured business data and a sitemap are in place on day one, and we set up your Google Business Profile so you can appear on the map. Where you rank, and whether Google approves the profile, are Google's decisions — we do the setup properly, but nobody can promise you a position.
Call, WhatsApp and directions sit in fixed positions on every page. Contact forms are emailed to you and kept in the panel as a backup, so a message is still there if a spam filter swallows the email.
No page builder bloat. Static pages and compressed images, so the site opens quickly on a weak mobile connection. We do not add trackers you have no use for — and where a consent notice is legally required for your setup, we put one in.
Every site ships with an admin panel. Change prices, swap photos, edit opening hours, add a service — you do it in the browser and it is usually live within seconds. No tickets, no waiting on us, no monthly retainer to keep the site editable. Hosting and domain renewal are billed by your provider, not by us.
Your text and photos stay yours, and the finished site is licensed to you for your own business for good — you can host it anywhere and we do not hold it hostage. If you would rather not deal with any of that, we can register the domain in your name and put the site live for you; both are optional extras, quoted separately up front.
Between four and six, depending on the template — you can click through all of them in the preview above. If your business needs something the template doesn't cover, we quote it as additional work before we build it.
It depends on page count, whether you need booking or ordering built in, and how much content we write versus you send. Domain registration and launch are separate line items if you want them. Tell us what you're after and you get a fixed number in writing before anything starts.
You can buy one yourself — it takes about five minutes and we will tell you exactly what to get. If you would rather skip it, we can register it in your name as a paid extra. Either way the domain is registered in your name, not ours — which also means renewals are yours to keep up. We will remind you, but the account is yours.
That is the idea. Every site comes with an admin panel where you edit text, photos, prices and opening hours yourself and publish instantly. No monthly fee to keep it editable, and nothing is locked behind us.
We hand over the finished site and you can put it live wherever you like. If you want us to handle hosting setup and go-live instead, that is an optional extra and we quote it before we start.
Then we work from your brief instead. Send a description, a sketch, or a link to a site you like, and we will tell you plainly whether it is something we build well. If it is, you get a quote for that. If it is not, we will say so rather than take the job — you have not lost anything by asking. A build to your own brief costs more and takes longer than a lettered template, and both the price and the timeline are agreed in writing before we start.
Yes. Colours, fonts, wording, page order and which sections appear are all adjustable within a template — that is normal work, not an extra. Adding whole pages or features the template does not have (online payment, a customer login, multi-language) is real extra work, so we price it separately and tell you the number before we build it, never afterwards.
They are lettered A, B and C. Open the one you like in the preview above, note the letter shown next to the page strip, and put it in your message — “Template B for a bakery” is all we need to start.
Counting from the day your text and photos reach us, a standard four-to-six page build is typically ready in three to five working days. Booking or ordering, or content we write for you, adds to that — the timeline goes in your quote, so you have a date rather than an estimate.
LodgEvent Studio is the web-build arm of LodgEvent, a global events directory we build and run ourselves at lodgevent.com. Your site is deliberately simpler than ours — it runs on plain PHP so any ordinary host can serve it. What carries over is the approach: an admin panel you own, no third-party services in the middle, and nothing that stops working if you stop paying us.
On Instagram you're a tenant. Google search, map listings, price pages, booking and a contact route that survives an algorithm change aren't things a profile does for you.
Tell us your business name and either the template letter — A, B or C — or, if none of them fit, what you had in mind instead. You get a fixed quote back, and a real preview with your own content in it. Build time is counted from the day your text and photos reach us.
Two ways to reach us, both land with the same person. Use the contact form if you would rather not open your mail app, or email us directly if you want to attach your logo, photos or an existing site to look at. Please start the subject line with Studio so it does not sit behind the general enquiries.
